There is a common misconception about retreading truck tyres and safety. If produced with a professional standard, all retreads are reliable, provide a low cost per km in transport operations and don't compromise original tyre safety standards. In order to ensure high quality control and retread reliability, Adz Tyre & Battery only retreads our tyres with Recamic, Bandag & N.B.R retreading systems.

Retreading a truck tyre consumes a lot less fuel then producing a new tyre completely and up to 80% of the tyre can still be used at the end of its useful life. In addition, retreading uses almost 50% less rubber then a new tyre does in production and generally you can retread a truck tyre up to three times. This can have a massive positive impact on our environment by reducing waste and prolonging the life of a truck tyre.

Any suitable tyres (subject to inspections and possible repairs) can be supplied to Adz Tyre & Battery for retreading. We can also supply spare truck casings if required. All our retread prices are based on tyre size, pattern requested and application. We have a large range of patterns available from Recamic, Bandag & N.B.R retreading systems. Contact us if you wish to discuss any patterns not listed below.

Keep in mind, Adz Tyre & Battery only provide a retreading supply service for Light Truck (size dependent), Truck & Bus vehicles. We do not provide this service for any passenger or 4WD tyres. For more information on retreading your tyres, or sizes suitable for retreading, please Contact us.

The Process

Recamic retreading is a smart process that meets the needs of a customer's safety concerns.

All Recamic retreads have the tread 'buffed'.

Followed by the 'building' process where holes a filled and the premould is applied.

Lastly is the 'curing' process where vulcanisation occurs.

The Process

All retreads are inspected and repaired by a qualified retreading specialists.

They are 'buffed' on a semi-auto machine.

Next the tyres are then sprayed with special cement and any holes are filled during the 'building' phase.

Procured tread liners are applied to the tyre and 'enveloped'.

Tyres are then cured during the 'curing' phase using a cold press.
